Understanding the Different Tabs

Let’s start by familiarizing ourselves with the layout of the site. Find the dark-colored tabs near the top of the page. These tabs/this bar will ALWAYS be at the top of the website. Use these tabs as your “Home Base”, if you ever get lost. Below are brief descriptions of what each tab contains.

1. If you are not already on the “Calendar” tab, go there now.

  • Look around the page. Feels like a mix between Excel and a monthly calendar, right? Well, that is basically what it is! Not only can you see everyone’s shifts for the month here, but you can also make tons of changes to them, right on the same page. If you’re a supervisor or an administrator, this is where you will spend most of your time.

2. Click over to the “My Schedule” tab.
  • If you just want to know when and where you are working, use this page. It will lay out all your upcoming shifts for you in a simple to read list.

  • You can also click “Past Shifts” in the menu on the right side of the page, to view, you guessed it, all your previous shifts.

3) Click over to the “Daily Shifts” tab.
  • If you only care about who is working TODAY, this is where you come. It tells you who is working, where they are working, when they are working, if they are at on a certain Post, Beat, Zone, etc., and even what items they have assigned to them for the day (If your organization tracks them that is).

4) Click over to the “My Preferences” tab.
  • If you have a large department of part-timers, this page will become very familiar to your department. This is where you tell the system/your supervisors when you can and can’t work.

5) If you are a supervisor or Admin, click over to the “Admin” tab.
  • This is where all the nitty-gritty things occur. This page will ALWAYS have the little category boxes along the right side of the screen. You can click any button on this page, and you will still be able to see all the options, settings, other pages, etc.

  • There are 2 areas you need to be very familiar with on this page. Those are “Message Blasts” and the “Reports” category box. You will use these frequently.

NOTE
The Pending Actions tab is covered in this cheat sheet.
